ANSI 5010 - Easy As 1-2-3!
Getting ready for ANSI 5010 can be easy if you start now and follow these simple steps:
- Assess your current sitiuation to determine the steps needed to meet the new requirements. Will you upgrade to Medisoft V17 or will you work with JBS to modify your current claim format to accomodate the ANSI 5010 requirements.
- Schedule time with JBS to implement whichever option you have chosen to meet the ANSI 5010 requirements.
- Conduct a test with your clearinghouse to ensure that your claims meet the requirements effective January 1, 2012 for many insurance carriers. All entities must be ANSI 5010 compliant by March 31, 2012.
